In this project, everything is designed to... Discover. After we chose the house and visualized the space, I think I spent about a month and a half, during which I did my research. I was asked for sketches, but I avoided providing them because I wanted to shape my idea in such a way that it would come to life, that it would have a beginning and an end. In any creative process, there is a kind of prelude, a time when you compose and recompose concepts and images, and at some point, that magic appears—that treasure waiting to be discovered. Here, everything started from a single room; the entire design was born in the library. We had to introduce a very large display into the space, and of course, we needed to put it into context. It is very difficult to approach a showroom for tiles and ceramics, where the displays are completely impersonal, boxes containing tiles... you need to give them meaning, a story. What came out is a playful design. I discussed with the project’s clients that the entire layout should be organized into functional zones. In a living space, we have the classic zones, as follows: hallway, kitchen, library, dressing room, tea salon, living room, office. The design process began by putting each zone back into context.
